About Claire:
Claire has been competitively racing quarter midgets for the last 3 years. She works incredibly hard to be the best at her sport, racing 2-3 days a week during the season, and putting in many hours of practive whenever she can. She is one of a handful of female racers in the area, and she has achieved man wins and a number of track records. She is an excellent role model for other female racers, and she always maintains a positive and encouraging attitude, even when races don’t go her way.
More about Claire: When not racing, Claire is also a member of the Philadelphia Girls Choir, and was selected to sing in The Nutcracker at the Kimmel Center this December. She plans to participate in Girls on the Run this year, and she has just started playing the viola in her school orchestra. In her free time, she enjoys sewing and fashion, as well as spending time with her family and pets (two cats, four chickens, a jumping spider, and lots of fish).

Montgomery County Middle Schools Ranked: Souderton Charter School at No. 1, Upper Merion No. 13
The Souderton Charter School Collaborative topped Pennsylvania's charter schools and Montgomery County's middle schools in Niche's latest rankings. Bala Cynwyd Middle School and Welsh Valley Middle School placed second and third in the county, while Upper Merion came in at number 13. The rankings by Niche were based on data from the U.S. Department of Education, test scores, and user feedback on student life and academic quality.
CHOP Surgeons Separate Conjoined Twins in Groundbreaking Surgery
Philadelphia conjoined twins Amari and Javar Ruffin were successfully separated at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in August 2024 after nearly a year of preparation. The complex eight-hour surgery involved a large team of specialists who carefully separated the twins’ shared organs, including their liver, and reconstructed their abdominal walls. Now, the twins are home with their family, marking a new chapter after their challenging medical journey.
Casey-McCormick Senate Battle in Pennsylvania Remains Deadlocked
The Pennsylvania Senate race between Republican Dave McCormick and Democrat Bob Casey remains too close to call, with McCormick maintaining a narrow lead as final votes are counted. While Casey’s campaign has kept a low profile since election night, McCormick celebrated a tentative lead, highlighting his alignment with Trump and commitment to change in Washington. If McCormick wins, he would join a Republican-majority Senate, potentially ending Casey’s political legacy in Pennsylvania.
