WAXING THE CITY

Can you share the story behind Waxing the City in King of Prussia?
Making people feel seen is what makes me jump out of bed in the morning. Whether you are celebrating a milestone or are going through one of the hardest seasons of your life, you arenβt meant to be on this journey alone. Years ago, I dreamed of having a space where people would come to feel seen and loved. I had no idea the dream would lead me to the beauty industry, but it did. When I became a Manager at Waxing the City in 2019, I fell in love. I value the education we receive, the dedication to quality over quantity, the focus on the people and the opportunity it brings to cultivate a team that values each other and our guests. When the opportunity to take ownership of the King of Prussia location was presented to me, we took the leap of faith and said yes. Waxing the City isnβt a business to me, itβs a catalyst to bring more love and light into the world.
What sets Waxing the City apart from other waxing salons in the region?
Waxing the City offers a safe space to show up as your authentic self. We welcome you, celebrate you and love being a small part of what helps you feel like the best version of yourself!
For someone new to waxing, can you walk us through what a typical appointment looks like?
The hardest part of a first time waxing appointment is scheduling your visit. Once you step into the studio, our goal is to make your experience as smooth as possible (pun intended). You will be greeted by your friendly Cerologist who will walk you through the whole process. Before long, you will find yourself distracted by great conversation and feeling so glad you made the decision to come in to see us.
How do you ensure a comfortable and safe environment for your clients?
At Waxing the City, your comfort matters. After your consultation and when the service is completed, we step out of the room to give you privacy for undressing/dressing. We provide a drape cloth so you can be covered before, during and after your service. Waxing the City service times are longer in length, allowing us time to provide a quality service that doesnβt feel rushed.
What are some of the most popular treatments or services at your King of Prussia location?
At Waxing the City, we offer head to toe waxing services. Our most popular service is our Brazilian service. We also offer specialty treatments including Lash Lifts, Brow Laminations, Lash/Brow Tints and Brightening, Calming and Detoxing Skin Services.
How do you tailor your waxing services to meet individual client needs?
Consultations and personalized recommendations are always part of our service. At the start of every appointment, we ask questions to ensure we are taking the best care of our guests. Throughout the service, we educate guests about pre and post waxing care. It is important to know our clients are using products that are best for their skin and for the outcomes they hope to achieve..
Can you share a memorable client experience or success story that highlights your commitment to quality service?
Months ago, a guest left one of our treatment rooms with tears in her eyes. She shared how much she appreciates her visits at Waxing the City, how it has become an essential part of her self-care routine and much she looks forward to her visits. When she comes to Waxing the City, she not only receives quality services but also feels seen and valued. We love the time we spend with our guests. It means the world to know they leave feeling better than when they came in.
Are there any new treatments, services, or promotions on the horizon at your King of Prussia location?
Our team is currently being trained to perform Brow Prime and Tint services.
Looking ahead, what is your vision for the future of Waxing the City in King of Prussia?
Waxing the City loves being a part of our community. We have supported local sports teams, parent-teacher organizations, moms clubs and various other non-profits. As we continue to grow, we are excited to find more ways to serve and support our community.
If local residents want to keep tabs on you, especially any special offerings, whatβs the best way for them to do so?
